Parkhide (1913, Tehran, Iran – November 30, 1965, Tehran, Iran)
Parkhide, whose real name was Nooralhoda Mozaffari (1913, Tehran, Iran - November 30, 1965), was an Iranian actress born in Tehran.
She studied until the sixth grade of primary school and started dubbing in 1954. She married Hamid Vafadar - a dulcimer player - who gave birth to two daughters named Pooran and Tooran. Pooran later started singing under the name Firouzeh and Tooran also became a radio employee.
Parkhide started her artistic career in 1929 in the field of acrobatic movements in Mir Ahmad Safavi's group. As a radio singer she began dubbing in 1954. She started acting in the theatre in 1931 with Khasis in Hossein Khairkhah's theater troupe, and during her theatrical career she played in twenty-two plays, including: The Miser, Hollywood Star, Ayan's Wedding, Marie Dugan's Trial, Tatiana's Princess. Parkhide participated in the play "Ultimatum" with Asghar Tafakkor and Kazem Tehranchi. In 1952, this play was made into a movie called Zendehbad khaleh.
The beginning of Parkhide's cooperation with cinema was in the movie Golden Dreams in 1951, and from this year to 1965, she acted in fifty-five movies.
Her most famous films are: Ahange Dehkadeh (1961), Mardi ke ranj mibarad (1957), A Party in Hell (1956), Mr. Twentieth Century (1964), Zamine Talkh (1963), Fugitive Angel, Sad kilo damad (1961), Jedal Der Mahtab (joint film with Italy - 1963), Sacrifice Mother and several other films.
Parkhide died on November 30, 1965 after a heart surgery in Tehran and was buried in Ibn Babawayh Cemetery in Shahre Ray, Tehran.
