Aram Ghasemy (1975, Iran)
Aram Ghasemy, born 1975 in Iran, is an actor, choreographer, and director living in Italy. Ghasemy graduated from the Faculty of Theatre of the University of Art and Architecture in Tehran.
She is one of the active Iranian figures in Europe who has participated in various art projects in recent years.
In addition to performing her independent works, she has collaborated with a number of Iranian and non-Iranian artists in the field of performing arts, and has also acted in the films "Under the Shadow" (2016) and "Mitra" (2021) outside of Iran.
In 2007 she moved to Italy and there she attended the School of Contemporary Dance and dance theater of the dancer and director Erica Giovannini. Now she is attending the master degree course of art in Interactive and Performative Media Art faculty in the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera in Milan .
Since 1995 she has worked in theater, cinema and television as an actress, stage designer and puppet voice-actor and dubber . Since 2000 she has been active as the founder of the Tarmeh theatre and Dance Theatre company.
"Nightmares and Mirrors" is one of the recent multimedia works of Aram Ghasemi, whose performance in Italy was well received by the audience. It blends poetry, contemporary movements, and Multimedia and in a minimalist way, it depicts the fear, dissolution, and destruction of contemporary humanity in the onslaught of nightmarish realities.
