Garshasb Raoufi (February 24, 1933 - December 8, 2007)
Garsha Raoufi was born February 24, 1933 in Teheran, Iran.
He is known for playing in movies such as Sarhad (1996), Storm in our Town (1958) and The Midnight Terror (1961).
Gersha Raoufi, whose real name was Gershasb Raoufi, was an Iranian theater and cinema actor who formed a successful comedy group in the 1960s with Mohammad Motevaselani and Mansour Sephernia.
Gersha Reofi started acting in 1958 by appearing in "Storm in our Town" directed by Samuel Khachikian and in movies such as "The Midnight Terror" (Samuel Khachikian), "The Deer" by Masoud Kimiai, "Rebels" by Jahangir Jahangiri, Kianoush Ayari's "Two Halves of an Apple (Do nimeye Sib)" and Mohammad Hossein Latifi's "Iranian Girl (Dokhtar Irooni)". He have recorded roles in more than 50 films in his artistic career.
Garsha has also worked in "Pars Theater" since 1980. Mohammad Hossein Latifi's "Iranian Girl (Dokhtar Irooni)" was his last acting activity in the cinema.
His sister, Mrs. Giti Raoufi, an exemplary school teacher, is the wife of the celebrated Iranian actor and the iconic figure of Iranian cinema, Jamshid Mashayekhi.
He died on December 8, 2007 in Tehran.
