Soraya Beheshti (1943-2015)
Soraya Beheshti (real name Soraya Shahsavari) was an Iranian theater and cinema actress mostly known for Ghesseye delha (1969), Dalahoo (1967) and Hasan Kachal (1970).
She was born in Kermanshah and started her artistic career by acting in Lalehzar shows at the age of 16 (from 1960) before completing secondary school education.
She entered the cinema theater at the invitation of Mohammad Ali Fardin and started her acting career by appearing in Fardin's Khoshgele Khoshgela.
She mostly appeared in supporting roles. Among her outstanding performances can be mentioned her role as "Tavoos" in Hasan Kachal, Ali Hatami's first debut movie, and the comedy roles she played against Taghi Zahouri, one of Iran's pre-1979 male comedian actors .
Khatharkhah was the last film in which she appeared and after that she was not seen in any movie until her death in 2006.
She was one of the famous supporting actresses of Iranian cinema in 1940s and 1950s and had many fans among the audience.
Soraya married Reza Dorfeshan in 1971, and the result of this marriage was a son.
