Mohammad Varshochi (1925–2011)
Mohammad Varshochi was born in 1925 in Tehran, Iran.
He was an actor, known for Hezardastan (1988), Tehran Rozegar-e No (1999) and Ali Konkouri (1973).
One of his most memorable roles was playing Aspiran Ghiasabadi in "My dear Uncle Napoleon", a tv series from 1976 directed by Naser Taghvai based on a very popular novel by Iraj Pezeshkzad.
Mohammad Ali Varshouchi started his artistic activity from the school theater (fourth grade). His career began at the Mina Theater. With the help of his friend Nematollah Gorji, another popular veteran Iranian actor, he founded a theater group and traveled to different cities to perform plays.
Varshochi has been practically off the scene since 2003. Prior to his death, he was known as a representative of theater and television veterans.
Varshochi was taken to Pars Hospital in Tehran on the afternoon of March 29 due to a broken leg. He died at the hospital at 4:00 AM.
