Ebrahim Forouzesh (1939 Tehran, Iran)
Born in Tehran in 1939, Ebrahim Forouzesh is best - known for award - winning, highly - acclaimed THE JAR.
A graduate of College of Dramatic Arts, Forouzesh began his career as a producer in Kanoon Film Center in 1970, and then worked as the manager of this center for 7 consecutive years.
In 1973, his independent works were started by writing the script of an animation entitled THE BLACK BIRD.
His debut feature, THE KEY, was awarded in Chicago Children Film Festival, but successful international presentations of THE JAR brought him 13 prizes from Locarno, Sao Paulo, etc.
Most of Forouzesh's films are made for children and young adults.
