11'09"01 - SEPTEMBER 11 is a fascinating, experimental work in which 11 directors from around the world attempt to offer a cinematic reaction to the events of September 11 2001. With the film makers subject to budgetary restraints, their films last exactly 11 minutes, nine seconds and one frame. The results are a look at how the events of that day affected people the world over.

This collective movie is in competition for the "Special Events" section at the 59th Venice Film Festival in Venice, Italy, Thursday, Sept. 5, 2002.
